How to check if your Email address is compromised. Internet and devices going over the Internet are rising every second. 1 important thing we tend to forget is how easily we enter our Email address everywhere. Email address nowadays is the most important part of one’s life. It works more than a physical address and can hamper your life in unknown ways.

How to check if your Email address is compromised?

1. There are tons of websites that may provide this service, but here I will share my experience. I have been for a few years now.
2. Visit – https://haveibeenpwned.com/

1. Once there, type in your email address
2. The result may surprise you, there have been a lot of Major sites which were breached and the site gives you a very detailed view
3. Have I pwned tells you the sites which were breached and your details which were compromised? The sites also tell you where it was pasted, what you can do
4. There are more features on the website that you can check once you are done doing the basics

Few things you should do before a breach and after is to follow few simple steps:

1. Make sure you use different passwords on all sites, change them at least every 3-6 months
2. Use a password manager, my recommendation – https://bitwarden.com/
3. Always log out after every session, be extra cautious using your Email address on random websites
4. Use an Email service that provides random email for you
5. There are a ton of suggestions but these are a few which may help
