Realme is rolling out Android 11 Beta for Realme 7 Pro, reports Gizchina. It announced Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 back in September 2020 with some improvements and Optimizations. Realme X50 Pro 5G is the only smartphone compatible with the Android 11 beta to date. The company announced the start of the closed beta for some 300 users in India. However, the no’s may go up in near future.
The update size is 3.57GB and brings in improvements and features. The version no. is RMX2170_11_C.09.
The big change in the Realme UI 2.0 is the option for users to customize as per their needs. Use of third party icons with no need of installing a third-party launcher. Ability to create your own and unique wallpapers. There are dark modes available as well – Enhanced, Medium, and Gentle. The latter is close to Google’s stock dark theme, whereas the Enhanced stands for a Pitch Black mode.
The update brings in an AI algorithm that will control the charging speed at night. Realme 7 Pro comes in with 65W fast charging. This tech is already been used by ASUS in their few phones like the ROG Phone series and ASUS 5Z/6Z. The update also brings a set of optimizations for the System UI, Notification Sounds, and Auto-brightness feature.
When it comes to Security and Privacy, the company introduced a new System Cloner feature. It allows the user to create distinct Systems on a device and set each one with a different set of fingerprints. There is a new Low Battery Emergency feature, when you’re under 15% you can send a quick message to specific people with your location. Other features include sharing Wi-Fi via QR Code, Quick HeyTap backup when migrating your data to a new phone, and more.
