Samsung Galaxy Watch3 and Watch Active 2 are now receiving FDA-Cleared ECG Update. These features were long due and during the launch of Watch 3 just a few weeks back, Samsung confirmed that they have received US FDA clearance on the same. Note this feature for now is US Specific. Korean Market had already this long back.
Users around the world specially India may still have to wait as there is no word from Samsung. Though the good news is that Samsung is not forgetting things which they promise and seem to be working and updating users. ECG, Blood pressure monitoring, VO2 max, Fall detection and some features are strictly Watch 3 and Watch Active 2 specific for now. The Watch Active 2 just misses the Blood oxygen sensor which can be seen as a must have feature during the COVID-19 pandemic.
