ASUS ROG Phone 3 new update .99 rolled out with Minor fixes. ROG Phone 3 already received an update a few days back and this is just an incremental update. ASUS is constantly pushing update and the new .99 update seems to be fixing few things over the previous things.
Update version – 17.0823.2009.99
Release Note
- Optimized the noise reduction mechanism with speaker mode during a telephone call
- Fixed the power consumption problem of the electronic compass
- Fixed issue where removing Kunai 3 Gamepad will cause Armoury Crate to crash
The OTA update file size may be less as compared to the Offline Manual update. The manual update file size is around 2.5GB which you can download from here – Update File.

The closest competitor for ROG Phone 3 is OnePlus 8T and Xiaomi 10T Pro which were recently launched as well. I feel ROG Phone 3 gives a tough fight to these options, however, Snapdragon 875 could be soon revealed. Snapdragon 875 will be faster and Cheaper as compared to Snapdragon 865.
