WhatsApp new update: Disappearing messages and Payments. WhatsApp has announced two new updates – Disappearing messages and payments in India. These two features have been in the works for some time now. WhatsApp Beta users were testing specifically the Payments system, disappearing messages is also a great way to keep things private. Disappearing messages will eventually help in keeping the conversation to a certain extent.

Disappearing messages

The feature can be turned on and off and the timeline is set to 7 days by default. A user can turn on/off with a private chat and for the group’s the Admins will have control. There are things you don’t want to be kept or seen after a few days, however, this feature can be taken positively and negatively depending on users.

WhatsApp new update Payments in India

Beta users could actually use this feature long back, however, it’s live for all WhatsApp users in India. The payment feature is a great move as many users currently use What’s App for nearly everything. WhatsApp has partnered with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) using the Unified Payment Interface (UPI), an India-first, a real-time payment system that enables transactions with over 160 supported banks.

WhatsApp is working with five leading banks in India: ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, the State Bank of India, and Jio Payments Bank. People can send money on WhatsApp to anyone using a UPI supported app. Apart from WhatsApp, Google Pay and Paytm are leading the payments feature in India.

This feature seem to be pretty good for users, however there are many players for payments service in India. For detailed info Check – WhatsApp Blog
