Vivo Launches X21, World’s First In-Display Fingerprint Sensor Technology Smartphone in India
The technology everyone was chasing for & the technology every company would have started implementing by 2018. The Company named Vivo which is known to bring in Innovations was the first to bring in the technology which Apple might have been chasing for its iPhone X. Many Leaks did the roundups in 2017 for many companies for In-Display Fingerprint Sensor Technology but Vivo finally showcased the much-needed innovation at the CES 2018. The Live seemed to be a prototype but soon Vivo announced that it will be launching the technology & mass production soon followed.
Vivo X21 comes up with a decent amount of specification. To start off with the SOC the smartphone packs in Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 which is the most powerful SOC in 600-tier segment & packs in Artificial Intelligence Engine (AIE). Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 is based on Kryo 260 CPU which can give up to 20% more performance as compared to its previous generation. It also packs in 6GB of RAM for better multitasking & keeping the overall usage of the phone smooth. When it comes to storage it has 128GB ROM with an option to expand the storage up to 256GB. There is a downside as it comes with a hybrid slot. The Phone will run on the latest Android 8.1 with their own Funtouch UI customization.
Coming to the Camera the smartphone keeps up the industry standard as it comes with Dual Camera. Also to be noted as mentioned by Vivo at the Launch, the smartphone has AI HDR technology & if we see Vivo is the first brand to bring in this technology in a smartphone. For Rear, it has 12MP + 5MP Dual Camera (12MP with 2 PD technology) & in Front, it has 12MP (with 2 PD Technology). Some of the major talk points about the camera will be AI-HDR, Low Light Photography using AI & Fast Autofocus using AI here as well.
The Display of Vivo X21 is a 6.28 inch Super AMOLED screen with 90.3% screen to body ratio. The 3D Glass & Metal body gives the smartphone a premium look.
Coming to the final point which everyone was waiting for is the price. Vivo X21 is known for its Technology i.e. In display fingerprint sensor. The Price of Vivo X21 is ₹35,990 & it comes with a variety of Offers such as Extra value on the exchange, No cost EMI & few cashback offers. The Vivo X21 will be available on Flipkart & Vivo online store. Vivo has priced the smartphone a little over & it will be a direct competition to Onplus 6 & newly launched Honor Phone. Soon Asus will be coming up with their Zenfone 5 & there is a tough competition for Vivo.
