OnePlus Nord 2 launched: MediaTek 1200, 50MP IMX766 sensor, and more starts ₹29,999. OnePlus after UI fiasco, Oppo merger, their flagship missing their mark has launched another phone. The company has again started its journey and now again wants to be the flagship killer. OnePlus Nord 1 started with baseline Snapdragon 700 series, while Nord 2 is taking the MediaTek route. The phone pricing looks attractive however, over the years OnePlus has missed the mark.

OnePlus originating with Flagship specs and low pricing has taken over with Premium and Luxury. The only thing which may not again remain constant is the Oxygen UI. The final nail to the coffin is yet to be struck.
Something that OnePlus does well is the OnePlus community and their Oxygen OS. OnePlus community has grown from a handful to Redcable Club, and many more great initiatives. Hope this continues further.
The new OnePlus phone isn’t the only MediaTek 1200 offering in the market. There are many brands that do offer the MTK 1200. However, the best part seems to be the price. The MTK 1200 may be the fastest MediaTek processor but isn’t anywhere close to Snapdragon 888 and sits on part with Snapdragon 870. This in turn makes OnePlus 9R slightly obsolete and OnePlus is competing it’s own phone that is just few months old.
