Fortnite App removed from Apple store and Google Playstore

Fortnite App has been removed from the Apple store and Google Playstore, the news isn’t new as we have gathered some more information on this. Epic has challenged Apple legally and has started #FreeFortnite movement.

Fortnite App was always a talking point in the gaming industry especially on the mobile front when Epic games developer of Fortnite started challenging the cut taken by the Apple App Store and Google Play store. Fortnite on Aug 13th launched its direct payment system for in-game purchases which bypassed both stores.

Google Playstore and Apple App stores have their policies set wherein the store takes a cut out of the revenue generated by Apps. Epic has taken legal action to end Apple’s anti-competitive restrictions on mobile device marketplaces.

We feel there should be a mutual understanding between both parties as it directly affects the Gaming audience.
