Samsung’s new M series which is reported to be around sub 10K & sub 15K mark will feature 5000 mAh Battery & Waterdrop Notch.

Samsung’s new entry level smartphone lineup, the M-series, is close to its debut and the M20 will be the first one through the door. We already know how the handset should look by the recent leaks so now it’s time for the internals. The latest reports deliver most of the specs as well as the launch markets.

The handset will pack a 5,000 mAh battery beating the Galaxy Note9 by 1,000 mAh. It’s also said to feature an Exynos 7885 SoC with 3GB of RAM and as expected, the screen will be a standard LCD IPS measuring over 6.0″ in diagonal.

The rumoured dual-camera module on the back is 13MP + 5MP and an 8MP sensor sitting on notch.

We also learn that the Galaxy M20 will be hitting the UK, Germany, France, Poland and Scandinavia but there’s no mention of a version for the entire Europe so it might not reach all parts of it. We’ll have to wait some more to see how that pans out.

According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy M10 could be priced under Rs. 10,000 (approximately $142) while the Samsung Galaxy M20 could be priced around Rs. 15,000, which roughly converts to $213. Considering the aggressive pricing, it won’t be surprising if Samsung keeps the M-series as an online-only smartphone series.

With Chinese smartphone manufacturers dominating the Indian smartphone market in the budget and mid-range category, Samsung is feeling the pressure to price its smartphones more aggressively. Most of the Chinese phones are priced very aggressively and offers great value-for-money.

Earlier reports have suggested that the Galaxy M10 will be a budget offering that will be powered by the company’s in-house Exynos 7870 octa-core processor. It is expected to pack 3GB RAM and two options for internal storage — 16GB and 32GB. As for the software, the phone will be running Android Oreo operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s custom interface.

On the other hand, the Galaxy M20 variant is rumoured to be powered by the Samsung’s own Exynos 7885 upper mid-range processor, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The device is said to feature a Full-HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels with an unknown screen size, and just like M10, this one too will run Android Oreo out-of-the-box.

Finally, Samsung is taking the competition seriously & is also thinking to take the market by storm. One thing that is disappointing is that the RAM & Storage combination still seems outdated.
